A Recreation Brochure is produced three times a year and is mailed to all residents. It is also available on the City website.

If I miss a recreation class, can I make it up?
No. With the number of participants and classes offered, it would be difficult to facilitate the requests.

Are recreation classes canceled in bad weather?
If classes are canceled due to inclement weather, you will be called. You may also call the weather line at (763) 569-3442.

How do I register for recreation classes?
You can register in person at the Community Center, by phone at (763) 569-3400, by mail or online.

Do I have to be a resident of Brooklyn Center to register for a recreation class?
No. Unlike many neighboring communities, Brooklyn Center does not charge non-resident fees.

Does Brooklyn Center have a festival? If so, when is it?
Brooklyn Center's Earle Brown Days is usually held the fourth weekend in June.

Softball, basketball and volleyball leagues are available for adults. For information, call (763) 569-3382.

Does the Recreation Department offer sports for children?
The Recreation Department offers a soccer instructional program during the summer. Youth athletic associations are independently organized and include basketball, hockey, football, softball and baseball.

If I cannot attend the same exercise class every week, is there another option for me?
